HONEYMOON COUNTDOWN

1 YEAR: It's never too early to start planning. Top resorts and cruises can fill up a year in advance. If you're considering either, call now to check availability. Also, you'll need to book early if you're marrying over a holiday weekend.

9 MONTHS: Work up a wish list together. Call us to determine what options are available to you that are within your budget.

6 MONTHS: Make your reservations. Don't let your dream destination get booked up without you. If you don't already have a major credit card, apply for one now. You will need it for hotels and car rental companies.

4 MONTHS: If you're traveling to a foreign destination, you'll need passports or proof of citizenship, usually notarized copies of your birth certificates. You cannot change the name on your passport until after the wedding, so make reservations in both your names or carry along a copy of your marriage license. Some international travel requires a visa; ask us.

2 MONTHS: Review your wardrobes. Will you need new bathing suits? Ski Pants? Do you own luggage? Do you have a camera? If you're traveling to a place with a different electrical current, you'll need a transformer plus the right kind of adaptor.

1 MONTH: Refill prescriptions. Make sure to keep pills (& vitamins) in their original containers to ease your way through customs. Organize your toiletry kit - travel size shampoo, toothpaste, etc.

2 WEEKS: Obtain all your tickets and confirmations from us. Make copies of all documents; each of you can carry one set.

1 WEEK: Buy traveler's check and enough foreign currency to pay for taxis, tips, and that first cappuccino.

1 DAY: Finish your last-minute packing. You should each have one suitcase sitting by the door ready to go, and one carry-on bag each, open on a chair in your room, waiting for those last few items.
